Geotechnical/Waterfront Engineer

FR Engineering Group is a geotechnical and waterfront engineering company based out of Warwick, Rhode Island that is continuing to grow. We are searching for an experienced Geotechnical/Waterfront Engineer with 5 to 15 years of experience to fill the role of Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager, or Senior Project Manager (depending on experience). Candidates must be interested in both geotechnical and waterfront engineering.

Work will mainly entail:

• Project management

• Conducting subsurface investigations

• Preparing geotechnical reports

• Managing staff during construction observation

• Preparing proposals

• Design and analysis of geotechnical and waterfront structures (retaining walls, sea walls, bulkheads, deep foundations, shallow foundations, revetments, tiebacks, slope stability ect.)

• Preparing design drawings and specifications

• Inspection of existing structures (waterfront structures, buildings, bridges, dams, ect.)

• Mentoring junior staff

• Business development

Requirements for candidates include:

• BS Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering (MS preferred)

• Current Professional Engineer registration in southern New England or ability to obtain within six months

• Project management experience

• Experience dealing with clients and developing new business

• Experience leading and helping junior engineers with development

• Excellent writing and communication skills

• Proficient in Lpile, Apile, Group, SupportIT, Snail Plus, Slope/W, MathCAD, AutoCAD

• Well organized

• Valid driver’s license
